A programme providing groups access into some of the environmental projects and areas of outstanding natural beauty whilst highlighting animal welfare and environmental sustainability. Explore a different side of Scotland’s culture through the discovery of nature reserves, Highland cattle farms, dolphin sanctuaries, guided coastal walks and the Cairngorms.

 

MONTROSE WILDLIFE BASIN

AM: Arrival in Scotland

PM: Montrose Wildlife Basin: Conservation work at basin which is home to 80,000 migratory birds and seals with the Scottish Wildlife Trust.

Full day excursion Banchory / Aberdeen

AM: Highland Beef Farm: Tour of farming process, rearing cattle and producing beef to high ethical and environmental standards. 

PM: Dolphin Watch Aberdeen: A focus on animal welfare in tourism Dolphin watch.

Full day excursion to Cairngorms

AM: Glentaner Estate hike Cairngorms: A focus on sustainability/eco-tourism whilst spotting deer, ospreys and red squirrels in Royal Deeside.

PM: Muir of Dinnet Nature Reserve: Guided walk of kettle hole and Loch Kinnord with focus on managing habitats & conservation work) with NatureScot.

Full day excursion Aden Country Park

A Farming Museum with a focus on protecting trees and woods, visiting woods and planting trees at Aden Country Park with Woodland Trust.

Full day excursion Cyrus Nature Reserve

AM: Bushcraft Learn: wilderness survival skills – shelter building, protection from the elements, fire lighting and management, water collection and purification with Sup2Summit.

PM: Guided Coastal Walk St. Cyrus National Nature Reserve: Focus on dune management and sustainability plus wind farms and renewable energy with NatureScot.
